day VII – Trip To Iquitos

monday early, the volunteers have got to be ready to do their work, so many people bringing their pets, we had a special pet today a bunny!, the place a small church on an area on the outsiders of the main town of Iquitos, it was I guess a day with very hard work for the volunteers today, but they did it well, completly professional.
After a long day a good dinner helps and a juice, I prefer having juice instead of greasy food, well during dinner time i took a photo on the streets of the iquitos.

Day VI – Trip to Iquitos with Amazon Cares

weekend! XD ok this weekend we went to visit the manati rescue center, it was great! these animals are so nice! we spent some hours there watching the manaties, feeding them, taking photos, yeah! XD, well I couldn’t take more photos, because my camera’s battery died so soon, last night i forgot to charge it, anyways i still took some photos at the rescue center, and also when we were heading to the jungle, to pass the night there, which was cool, the landscape is beautiful, took some photos of the kids playing, and yeah, was kinda a normal day =)

Day V – Trip to Iquitos

During this days here and all the campaign being done by Amazon Cares, I am kinda amazed how people here in Iquitos love their pets, I was shooting photos this day and while shooting i saw a girl looking at her dog with so much pain and sadness, she thought her dog was dying, but was not so, her dog was only applied a sedant to be ready for the surgery, and this girl was scared, some ladies also worried and some of them crying thinking their pets wouldn’t be allright, because after every surgery every pet needs rest, and they were wondering why they were so sleepy, they couldn’t understand that is like doing the surgery to a person, but still is good they love their pets, from the youngest till the oldest.

Day IV – Trip To Iquitos

During this day we had the visit of the major of the district of san juan to the campaign place, so our famous journalist kourtney interviewed the major, the major had a look art the work the organization Amazon Cares is doing, when i was done taking the photos of the work of the day, and it was time for lunch already we needed to go as fast as posible to a restaurant, my stomach was asking for food please XD, hahaha, so to get back to our place we took a buss, oops, is that a fast transport? XD, nah, we just wanted to go in the buss, and had the experience to be on a wood made buss, which it was nice, i got some photos of that, then we had to go the post office for a moment, while coming back we had a shambo ice cream of aguaje, wich it was so good in this hot weather, back our place and after gotten some lunch, we’ve got to rest a bit and I had to download the pictures of the day, do some editions, well till night.
time for dinner, yeah! I am hungry!… XD but we were having a very rain, the last days have been raining suddenly and heavily, so we had to find a close place where to eat, we found a restaurant were we had a pisco sour, and I had chicken, i just needed to eat, for the time of coming back the rain was heavier, but still it was fresh after having a very hot weather, here I’ll show you the photos

Day III – in Iquitos

Thursday, having a cloudy but very nice morning, after staying up till very late last night doing some editions, a cold shower and a good breakfast helps a lot, we went to look a place for having breakfast after walking several blocks and a long time, we finally found a place, the first place didn’t have hot water for coffee, the second only served ice cream, and the third was OK, we had omelets coffee and I had a juice, then it was time to head our place to start working (shooting photos of the volunteers working XD). After we were done we had to start working on the images till late, then we had to look for a place to have dinner, not so far from our place there are some good restaurants. anyways I’ll show you the photos of the day.

Trip to Iquitos

It has been nice to have such great people to work with here at Iquitos with Amazon Cares, the volunteers are doing a great job with animals, I am trying to get the best photos I am able of the work being done, I never saw a city where there are only motorcars instead of cars, and also the first time I see buses made of wood, well half wood half metal, the transit of vehicles is really busy, this morning while going to the campaign place the motorcar i was going in, almost crash with a motorbike, same when I was coming from the airport, the motorcars were driving so close that it was scaring, I don’t want to have an accident because of irresponsible drivers, well that’s Iquitos a lot of motorcars, obviously the bad drivers are few. So far I have only seen 2 cars, when i just here i was wondering, are there cars in this city? XD, is a really nice city, I need to take some more pictures but yeah is my second day here.

*and here are the photos*
